Local Food Guide Now Available
Georgia Organics recently published their 2009-2010 Local Food Guide. The free Guide includes information about local, sustainable and organic farms and farmers, markets, restaurants and grocers, as well as information about CSAs and more. The Guide is distributed to over 200 locations in the Atlanta area.
To find a location near you, call Georgia Organics at 678-702-0400. You can also pick up a print copy at their office, which is located at 1068 North Highland Avenue in Atlanta. Print copies tend to go fast. If you can’t find one, don’t worry. You can download your copy from their website www.georgiaorganics.org. Georgia Organics is a member-supported nonprofit organization working to integrate healthy, sustainable and locally grown food into the lives of all Georgians.

Region-Wide Responses to Growth Roundtable
The fall 2008 Sustainable Atlanta Roundtable hosted by Southface will end this month with an examination of the growing number of initiatives underway in the region to confront Atlanta’s growth. The event will be held on November 7 at All Saints’ Episcopal Church, 634 West Peachtree Street. Southface is a nonprofit whose mission is to promote sustainable homes, workplaces and communities through education, research, advocacy and technical assistance. For more information or to register for the Roundtable, visit www.southface.org.
