Entry Agreement & Calendar Details
rev. July 2000 - Any element of this agreement is subject to change without notice. By entering information into New Life Journal's New Life Events calendar or by requesting a password, you agree to the following terms.

1- You are responsible for editing your own events. If you enter an event with a typographical or other error, you can edit your entry by returning to the Add Events page, choosing the appropriate month, and clicking the Edit button beside your event. New Life Journal (NLJ) staff is not responsible for editing your event entries.

2- You cannot enter the same event more than once! If you make this mistake, delete your extra entry immediately by returning to the Add Events page, and clicking the Delete button beside the duplicated event. If we discover a duplication, it will be deleted from the calendar. If this problem occurs more than once, your ability to enter events in New Life Events may be revoked, without reimbursement of any fees you've paid.

3- Your event will be listed in the print version of New Life Journal only if you enter it by the advertising deadline for the desired issue and if it is scheduled a minimum of one week after the distribution date of the same issue and within a maximum of 6 months from that date. View our schedule. All other events will be listed in the online version of New Life Events, but not in the print magazine. All charges, whether the event appears in both places or just on the web, are the same, with one exception, detailed in #4 of this agreement. To review costs, click here.

4- If you enter your event in time to be listed in more than one issue of New Life Journal, each listing will count and be chargeable. In other words, if you enter an event on August 15, 2000 that will take place on December 31, 2000, the event will be listed in both the Fall and Winter issues of New Life Journal, and you will be responsible for paying for both listings. If you want your event to be listed in only one issue of NLJ, enter it into New Life Events prior to that issue's deadline and delete it before the next issue's deadline. If you choose to enter your events early and have them listed in more than one issue of NLJ, please consider those extra listings when choosing a listing plan. If your upcoming event is present in the calendar on a given New Life Journal issue's deadline, it will be listed in that issue, and you will be responsible for paying for that listing. Different rules apply to Plan W listings; see #13 of this Agreement.

5- In the case of a misprint or omission of an event or any other mistake in the print version of New Life Events that appears in New Life Journal that is the fault of New Life Journal, remedy will be limited to the most appropriate of the following options: a free "make good" event listing of the same value, or cancellation of charges for that single listing.

6- Our standard disclaimer: The advertiser/agency will indemnify and hold the publisher harmless from and against any loss, expense, or other liability resulting from claims or suits for defamation, violation of privacy, plagiarism, libel, and copyright infringement, and any other claims or suits that may arise out of the publication of such advertisements.

7- All costs must be pre-paid before a membership username and password are given to any paying customer (or before a listing is added to the Ongoing Events section, in the case of Plan W). All payments are non-refundable and all plans non-exchangeable, unless New Life Journal cannot provide the listings agreed upon through some fault of our own.

8- Proof of nonprofit status must be received by New Life Journal before a membership username and password are given for free to any nonprofit customer.

9- If you submit more event entries than your current plan allows (e.g. if you submit an eleventh listing when you are signed up for Plan10), you will automatically be billed the single event price for each additional entry. (See Signup to review current pricing and price breaks.)

10- Yearly plans begin on the first day of the month of the first event entered under that plan and remain active until the last day of the eleventh month after the month of the first event entered. For example, if the first event of a yearly plan is entered on June 15, 2000, the plan begins on June 1, 2000 and ends on May 31, 2001.

11- A single plan/customer code can be used by only one individual, business, or organization. Events listed under any single plan must either be sponsored by, taught by, or hosted by a single group, business, or individual. If a question arises about the use of your customer code, you may be asked to provide either proof of your status as an official entity, proof of your affiliation with a given event, or both. If NLJ determines that a customer code is being abused in any way, the abuser will lose their ability to enter events into New Life Events.

12- Entry of events into New Life Events carries with it the improbable risk that your entries could be tampered with. We at New Life Journal will do everything in our power to reduce that risk. If changes are made to your listing without your consent, please notify us immediately, and indicate the date and time you noticed the changes. NLJ will not be held responsible for such tampering, but we will do our best to correct any such problems that may arise.

13- For Plan W listings: These listings are for ongoing weekly events only, and the listing and the quoted cost covers one listing that will remain in the calendar for one year with no changes. If you need to change your Plan W listing, you agree to pay a one-time charge of $25 for the new listing, with $1 additional for every word over 35. Submission of Plan W listings will be placed via email to calendar@newlifejournal.com with the subject "Plan W." The title, date/time, and description for the event will be submitted in the body of the email, not as an attachment. Changes to a Plan W listing must also be submitted via email. Bulk discounts are available for Plan W listings. Contact us for more info.

14- Advertisers who sign up for single entries and Plan W plans will receive no interactive access to New Life Events, unless they sign up for other plans offered, as well.
Please note: By requesting a password or entering events in New Life Events, you and your company or organization agree to abide by the terms in this Entry Agreement.

Call or email us with questions that you don't find answered here. Bear with us; this is a new endeavor, and some omissions may occur. Thank you for being a part of New Life Events!
